Redfloor

Identity

RedFloor supply and professionally install warm water underfloor heating systems anywhere in the UK.

Their full company name is 'Heating Installation Technicians Limited', but such a long name was proving too difficult for their customers to remember, so they came to me requesting a new & easy to remember brand name and logo.

Brand name
After mind mapping everything to do with underfloor heating I came up with a variety of new names, of which the winner was RedFloor (two short & easy to remember words, with the word 'Red' representing heat and the word 'Floor' pretty self explanatory)

Logo
I then mind mapped, sketched and brainstormed to come up with 3 design options, of which the final logo (below) was chosen:
• The logo colour is red to match the first word 'Red' and to represent heat.
• The red block below, has the word 'floor' sunk into it to represent the floor.
• The wavy lines under the word 'floor' represent under floor heat.
• Typeface is clear, bold and curvy to give an appearance of efficiency and forwardness.

I then had the pleasure of branding all of their stationary (letterhead, business cards etc...), uniforms and fleet of vans.
